Rotary Centers for International Studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution program supports the mission of the Foundation for International Understanding and World Peace.
The purpose of the Rotary Centers program is for peace
• To support and advance research, teaching, publishing, and practical experience in matters of peace, goodwill, causes of conflict and understanding the world
• Encourage people to a culture of peace and tolerance to work, while enhancing their skills, knowledge and skills by generating interaction between theory and practice
• Provide opportunities for international education leader in the field of peace and conflict research
• Provide an opportunity for the Rotary Foundation and Rotarians to increase their effectiveness in the promotion of tolerance and cooperation among peoples, leading to the understanding of the world and peace
The Rotary Centers program is for people pursuing a career related to international relations, peace and conflict resolution, to choose already has experience of working in these areas, and great potential for a positive impact on our world. Applicants should consider these objectives in the application and should be prepared to explain in its written statement and interviews, as are the objectives of the program supports. In particular, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to community service or humanitarian law, and work for peace.
